Design Researcher of HCI

Yongkang Chen

My research interests include automotive human-machine interaction, virtual reality design, and human-machine collaboration involving social robots and AI systems. Against the backdrop of artificial intelligence, my work focuses on human-centered intelligent agent design and research, involving interdisciplinary applications across design, psychology, management, and industrial engineering.

I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in Industrial Design from Central South University and Hunan University, respectively, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Design at the College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University. I have published more than 20 papers in leading international journals, including Accident Analysis & Prevention, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, The Design Journal, Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour, and Virtual Reality. I also serve as a reviewer for several SCI, SSCI, and A&HCI-indexed journals and conferences, including Design Studies, IJHCI, AAAI, and HSSC.
